Peggy contacted me in December 2018 with an interest in a saddle that was very light in weight but could still be used for some work as well. We worked with Dusty Smith to create a tree that would fit her horses and fit the bill for being both strong and light weight. I modified some of my patterns and used a light weight leather yet with good quality and strength. My mandate was to get the saddle close to 28 lbs and still have all the features she wanted in a western saddle. We made it coming in at exactly 27 lbs. Thanks for the challenge Peggy!!
