For many years I have almost exclusively used Rod Nikkel from Valleyview, Alberta, as my saddle tree maker. Rod retired from the business this July so change was in the air. Before his retirement Rod spent some time training several new tree makers to help “fill the gap” created by his retirement. One of the young tree makers is Dusty Smith from Wyoming. Dusty made the saddle tree used in this saddle and early indications are that he will be turning out some nice trees. This saddle was built on a 3B with a 5×12 cantle. Enjoy!!
