I have been mulling around the concept of lighter hands in my horsemanship and was thinking that if my reins could be held by a butterfly then I would be getting closer to my goal with a bridle horse. I attempted to transfer this concept to the design of this saddle. The fender has an abstract representation of a bridle bit with romal reins being held by a butterfly.
The tree is a 3B with a 10″ swell. Other features are a 15″ seat with 5″ x 11″ Taylor cantle. Dusty Smith made the tree and John Mincer did the silver and white bronze string conchos.
