So you say you like square skirts

I don’t get a lot of requests for square skirts on saddles but recently this style is getting a lot more interest. I built this saddle to take to the Early Californio Skills of the Rancho in Santa Maria, CA. It almost sold a couple of times but they missed out on a great saddle. This saddle is built on a Bob Ray tree. It is a 90 degree 3B tree with a 15 1/2″ seat, 4 1/2 x 12″ cantle, 3 1/2″ x 3″ high wood post horn. The bars on this tree are 22 1/2″ long so it could be an excellent choice for some of you with short backed horses. The saddle is all rough out with smooth swell, cantle binding, horn cover and rear jockeys. This in-sksirt rigging is set at 7/8 position. The rear jockeys, horn, frog, swell, and carriers are all tooled. Stirrups are 4″ Morans by Trina Weber. All hardware is stainless steel. Price is $4800.
